Know what you are buying before you ask what it costs

Every engagement includes the same build. Four things move the number from there, and you already know all four about your own firm. The quote arrives fixed and in writing after a fifteen minute call.

We scope an AI intake engagement on a call rather than printing a figure on a page. Every build includes the same deliverables, the number moves on four things you already know about your own firm, and the quote that follows the call is fixed and in writing.

What every engagement includes

The same build for every firm, whatever the scope conversation adds on top of it.

  • Deployment on your own domain, so the assistant answers at your firm's address rather than at a vendor's.
  • Your branding throughout, so a visitor never sees anyone else's name on it.
  • Prompt tuning for the practice areas you take, not a generic legal script.
  • A compliance review, with an attorney at your firm signing off on every prompt before anything goes live.
  • Calendar integration, so a booked consultation lands on the right calendar without anyone retyping it.
  • Email delivery of every memo, so you read what went out under your letterhead.
  • A 30 day tuning window after launch, while the real questions arrive and we sharpen the answers against them.

Live in roughly two weeks.

Four things move the number

None of these four will surprise you. You can work out where your firm sits before we talk.

  • How many practice areas the assistant has to answer for. Two is a different build from six.
  • What it has to connect to. A calendar on its own is straightforward. A case management system is more work.
  • How your intake routing already runs, and how much of it has to survive unchanged.
  • Which items from the expansion list you want in the first build rather than later.

Who this is worth scoping for

The engagement is worth a call under these conditions. Where it is not, it is cheaper for both of us to say so in the first five minutes.

Worth the call

  • Inquiries already arrive through your website, and you cannot say what happens to the ones that arrive at night.
  • A signed matter is worth enough that recovering a few a month changes the year.
  • Someone at the firm can approve prompts, and is willing to read them.
  • You would rather the number were right than fast.

Not yet

  • The website receives few inquiries. This closes a leak rather than creating demand.
  • You want a guaranteed number of booked consultations. Nobody can honestly sell you that.
  • You want a figure without a conversation. Every honest number depends on answers only you have.
  • You are looking for an answering service or a website rebuild.

What we will and will not promise

A page that will not print a figure owes you the same precision about what it will not promise.

What we commit to

  • A scoped quote after the call, fixed and in writing.
  • Every deliverable listed above, in every engagement.
  • An attorney at your firm approves each prompt before launch.
  • A monthly report: questions asked, consultations booked, matters signed.

What we will not claim

  • A guaranteed number of booked consultations.
  • A guaranteed increase in revenue.
  • Any prediction about how a matter will turn out.
  • Bar compliance certification. We build the guardrails and your firm approves them.

What you can add once intake is working

None of it belongs in the first build. We scope each one the same way, and none of them starts before the intake system has a month of its own numbers behind it.

  • Document collection, so clients stop emailing loose PDFs

After the first month of memos

  • Structured intake forms with a conflict check

Once the matter types have settled

  • Engagement letter e-signature

When signed matters are the bottleneck

  • Clio, MyCase or Lawmatics integration

When double entry costs more than it saves

  • Missed-call text-back

When the phone is leaking what the form used to

  • A voice agent that answers the after-hours phone

Once the written intake is closing matters

Questions about AI intake

Why is there no price on this page?

Because the honest number depends on things this page cannot know. A firm with two practice areas and one calendar is a different build from a firm with six and a case management system to connect. Publishing a figure would mean publishing the wrong one for most firms reading it, so the number comes after a fifteen minute call and arrives fixed and in writing.

What if the assistant gives legal advice, or says something wrong?

It cannot predict outcomes. The phrases that predict a result are banned at the prompt firewall rather than discouraged in a style guide, your disclaimer closes every answer verbatim, and an attorney at your firm approves the prompts before launch. You also see every memo it produces, so nothing goes out under your letterhead that you have not read.

We already have a receptionist. Why would we need this?

A receptionist covers business hours. This covers the custody question that arrives at 11pm and the weekend overflow, and it hands your receptionist a written memo on Monday instead of a cold voicemail.

Our clients are sensitive about AI. Will this put them off?

The assistant is branded as your firm's, discloses what it is, and its job is to get someone to a human faster with their situation already written up. It is not pretending to be a lawyer and it is not the last step.

How do I know it is working?

A monthly report: questions asked, consultations booked, matters signed. If it is not paying for itself you will see that in the same report, and we would rather you cancel than resent it.

Fifteen minutes on your practice areas, your inquiry volume and what you already have connected. You leave with a scoped quote in writing, or with a straight answer that this is not worth doing yet.
